For UVA students and faculty, undergraduate and graduate, ESSENTIALS is grounded in authentic Christian living both individually and collectively. We want to be a community of Christ’s love. We seek to mindfully and with full hearts live into the kingdom life that Jesus has taught us to earnestly pray for. In pursuit of “beautiful thinking,” we yearn to rightly understand God’s thinking about ourselves, our world and our God.
What do we do?
There are many different ways for the spiritually curious and skeptic alike to inquire and discover the Christian journey at their own pace at Essentials.

A small group of passionately committed followers of Christ. Some students lead the way for the rest of Essentials with bible studies and prayer meetings.
If you’re just curious (or even skeptical) about Christianity, you are always welcome!

Eunoia Staff meet for one-on-one discipling moments with students. Students also meet with one another to talk about faith and doubt.

“every Greek one friend away from Jesus"
Eunoia Essentials partners with Greek InterVarsity at UVA. Greek InterVarsity is a community where sorority women and fraternity men can explore who Jesus is and learn to follow Him with their whole lives.
We believe that one of the best ways for your sisters or brothers to encounter Jesus is through a Chapter Ministry—a sorority or fraternity bible study.

Eunoia Live is a seasonal gathering at Eunoia where Christian artists share their creative gifts together on stage. All UVA student and faculty are invited.
The Kairos Initiative
“building community, developing leaders, moving missionally”
KLI — Kairos Leadership Initiative
We want to develop emerging collegiate and young adult leaders by immersing them in a one-year leadership training program.
KMI — Kairos Mission Initiative
We want to mobilize students with a clear sense of calling for the nations.
KII — Kairos Internship Initiative
We want you to receive practical ministry experience, participate in intentional theological reflection, and journey toward a clearer sense of vocational identity and ministerial call.
Kairos Fall Gathering
A Fall weekend with 500 Christians and seekers from many Virginia campuses. Our Director and Associate Staff will be taking whoever wants to get away on this large retreat. The Fall Gathering meets yearly @ Eagle Eyrie Conference Center in the natural outskirts of Lynchburg.
